Home... Needs a storage shed...I cannot build this myself nor have a friend on hand to help.

SOOOO... Hire a contractor. 1st let me inform you this wasn't a fun endeavor. 2nd if I didn't already have trust issues, I sure do now. 3rd there are some horrid humans out there who will take your money, ruin faith in people, and make you think people no longer know how to be honest... 

With this said, 3 separate entities come out, provide estimated prices and time lines. I decide to go with the one who has fastest time line and repetitively the best price. 

TWO MONTHS later.....

I am the feeling like a foolish person who took a man at his word. I was promised one week for supply delivery, 1 week for construction. It's been 2 months now....  I call, I text, I call some more. I get no replies, no answers, I leave a message stating I am calling the material vendor. My, oh my how the calls and texts get returned. Claiming none of it's his fault, don't bother the vendors. Everything's on back order..... SUREEEEEEEEE

Voice 1 who always says, "Be polite your mother raised you to be a nice person!"  Shake my head. At this point there is nothing polite I can think of to say.

Voice 2 always reminding me, "Your mother raised to say nothing at all if you have nothing nice to say." I ignore this voice today. Something has to be done & said.

Voice 3 is saying (in her normal annoyed voice of adult reason) These things happen. The hardest part of this for me is waiting for that reason to come along.

Voice 4 pipes in, having perpetual PMS, is snapping out her usual slew of profanity… @#$%^&* AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE A MAN AT HIS WORD!!!! At this point in time I will admit I am believing she isn’t very wrong. 

Voice 5 comments with today’s uplifting quote. “Sometimes bad things have to happen before good things can.”

Voice 6, with all her jolly personality, determination to take over the world one step at a time, tosses glitter and says remember the goal & core reason for this home is happiness for me and Oakley. Breath. Use logic. Statically plan. We got this!!

Start with 6. BREATH. Logic says collect evidence in wrong doing, fire, hire, and have faith. Voice 1 has me use my best customer service skills, the product is delivered that following Monday from one vendor, cancels the order from the other vendor. (please note that both are informed the material has never been delivered nor work done, please further note the contractor has actually picked up the paid for materials that I paid for, then never showed up with them. Vendors are now seeking payment for the stolen merchandise from him) Hire new crew. New crew appears, helps sort our purchased materials, actually returns the wrong products (1st contractor apparently ordered all the sorts of things not for my project, but on my bill), new crew has it up and complete even with weather delays in 2wks time. 

I definitely now have trust issues. Yes, some humans are horrid & will take your money, ruin faith in people, and make you think people no longer know how to be honest...However there are good maybe even great humans, companies, and folks who stand by their word and go the extra mile to help make the best of  really crap situation.
